Rosie Turton (Nomieye) has kindly asked me to contribute to her ‘Sonic Fabrics’ series. It’s a seasonal offering of electronic improvised music. Last season’s volume was a beautiful collaboration with Maria Chiara Argirò.
We recorded a long, ambient jam at my studio for the Spring edition. If you enjoyed the live performance we did at Space Talk last year (which you can listen back to here), you will definitely enjoy this. I’ve included a snippet above. The full 8 tracks will be sent to her newsletter subscribers tomorrow!
I’m gearing up to my third LP’s release next month. I can’t believe it’s almost time for me to share it with you. There will be one more single next week before the full thing so keep your eyes peeled. Thank you to everyone who has pre-saved or pre-ordered the record so far. If you haven’t yet… what are you waiting for?!
If you would prefer to hear the music live, then you’re invited to Peckham Levels on the 7th June. I’ll be playing tracks from the record a whole week and a bit before it’s release with a live band + lots of special guests. The £9 tickets are nearly all sold out so don’t sleep!
Finally, a recommendation for a game that has been on my mind non-stop since I started playing it. It’s called Stray and you play as a cat exploring a post apocalyptic underground world inhabited by robots whilst trying to get back to your cat friends at ground level. Everything about the game is perfect from the design to the dialogue and the heartbreaking story. The music, composed by by Yann Van Der Cruyssen is especially unique. I’ve found myself listening to the OST whilst travelling and reliving the game’s exquisite sonics.
