On the 7th of June, myself and long-time friend B. Hawksley (fka Alexa Harley) will be hosting an evening of live music as we celebrate our respective new releases. Most people who have heard my music will have heard my track Joyfulness featuring Harley’s incredible vocals. We have also made a lot of music together as Equal Echo.
B. Hawksley is releasing her new EP ‘I’ll Be Your Mirror’ on the 9th of May. She has already released two beautiful new singles, Kansas and God You're Gifted. As I announced last week, my new album Infinity Mirrors is being released on the 20th of June. Funnily enough, when we started talking about doing a joint launch party, neither of us knew the other’s record had a mirror theme!
The thought of performing live again has been a bit daunting for me, but I’m excited to play this new music with a new live configuration, and I think Peckham Levels will be the perfect space to bring friends together to celebrate and share it live before its release. We’ll be playing in a round, and my set will feature some very special guests!

Speaking of Infinity Mirrors, thank you to everyone who has supported Grow and Reflections so far and an extra big thank you to everyone who has pre-ordered the LP!
I’ll be in Birmingham for a special live electronic set on the 26th July for Blow Water’s yearly Dumpling Room rooftop party. It’s a really great lineup featuring Awesome Tapes From Africa, Jayson Wynters, Nina Yamada and Ayana Homma. I can’t wait to play in Birmingham for the first time, if you’re around please come and say hi!
Here’s an Ableton project walkthrough video of Reflections for anyone interested, I really enjoy sharing my process so I think I’ll be doing more of this! Let me know if there’s any specific tracks you’d like a walkthrough of, or if you have any questions.
Finally, here’s a mother’s day meal I made yesterday, it’s a persian dish called Loobia Polo. I’ve spent years trying to perfect the crispy persian rice (Tahdig) and this one came out especially good!
