Leaves are falling
two special gigs next week
Hello, how are you?
It’s been a while! I’ve been settling in to Autumn and slowly starting to play around with some more music making again. My son has just started reception too so we’ve been adjusting to the new routine. Lots of shifting and change is happening and I’m just trying to move with it.
This wont be a long one, I’m mainly checking in to say hello and shout about two special events next week…
I’ve been kindly invited by Rosie Turton aka Nomieye to come and perform at the Fox & Ferkin next Wednesday (29th). We’ll be playing some spaced out improvised electronics together in the name of a good cause.
We will be fundraising for Gaza Sunbirds, a Paralympic team in Gaza focussing on delivering essential community aid to safeguard civilians. “We remain dedicated to our prior mission of long-term cycling development for all Palestinians, but we are currently channeling our efforts into providing support to the community as a whole.” – Gaza Sunbirds
And we will also be fundraising for Lewisham Palestine Solidarity Campaign to enable them to continue their work locally through demonstrations, divestment work with the council and boycott campaigns within the community.
Lineup:
Maxwell Owin and Brother Portrait
Nomieye and Hector Plimmer
MA.MOYO
SRF
Juicy Flutes
I’m excited to be heading to Ormside Projects for the first time next Thursday (30th) for something that is shaping up to be really interesting! I’ll be performing an electronic set accompanied by live improvisations from members of Om Ensemble.
Om Ensemble x As If No Way present Coalesce: Coalesce is to come together to form one mass or whole.
It is an evening of narration, collaborative performances, food, abstract visuals, and lighting at Ormside Projects. The event will feature performances by Hector Plimmer, Om Ensemble, Siblings of the Earth and Engin Eskici x Helin Karabil with narration by Blake Creighton and Guy Pelly.
As always, thank you to everyone who has been supporting Infinity Mirrors. I still have some records, so if you’re planning to grab one head over to Bandcamp and I’ll get it shipped over to you!
Thanks for reading and I hope to see you next week!
Last but not least, RIP to the one of a kind, legendary artist D’angelo. We’ve been going back and listening to his catalogue in the house and it can’t be overstated just how incredible this man’s output is. He’ll forever remain a pivotal source of inspiration 🕊️

Love that Sunbirds poster...✌️❤️
