Hello, how are you?
Infinity Mirrors is out this Friday! It’s been a long time coming and I can’t believe it’s so nearly time to share it with you all in full. I’ve got a busy release week planned with lots of things to update you on so please excuse the long thread.
Listening Parties
If you’re in London this Sunday (22/06), I'm hosting a listening party at Farringdon's beautiful hi-fi bar Space Talk. We'll listen to the record in full on their custom built sound system, do a Q&A and I'll also be playing records with the excellent Valentine Comar til late. Free entry all night, all the details are on the flyer below. This will be a lovely intimate experience, in a beautiful space with incredible sound. If you can make it, I’d love to see you there!
If you’re not in London, (or simply can’t wait that long to hear it!) I’m also hosting a
listening party this Thursday (19/06) at 19:00 BST. This will be the first listen of the record in full, the day before it's release. I'll be in the chat listening along too. You can RSVP here: hector-plimmer.bandcamp.com/merch/infinity-mirrors-listening-partyCitizen Sounds on Brixton Radio
Tomorrow (18/06) I’ll be guesting on Paul Bay’s Citizen Sounds show on Brixton Radio. We’ll be playing tracks from the album and I'm bringing a few records to play as well. Tune in and join us tomorrow 14:00-16:00 https://www.brixtonradio.com/
Huey Morgan’s Block Party Mix
If any of you happened to listen to Huey Morgan’s BBC 6Music show last Saturday you may have heard that he selected Infinity Mirrors as his ‘Meat of the Week’ recommended album of the week. He also mentioned that I’ll be doing a Block Party mix on this coming Saturday’s show, I’ve prepared something really special so please do tune in at 12:30 if you can!
The Parallel Universe Podcast with Julia Biel
I recently had the pleasure of guesting on
’s Parallel Universe podcast. We spoke about a broad range of different things from trying to survive as an artist to how grief can shape us in unexpected ways. We also recorded some improvised music. It was a really beautiful experience to be part of and I’m really grateful to have taken part. You can read more and have a listen in the post below. Julia has just moved to Substack so please give her a follow too!Breakfast with Valentine Comar on Worldwide FM
Last week Valentine Comar invited me to contribute a mix for her ‘Breakfast with…’ segment on her Worldwide FM morning show. I realised it has been just over 5 years since my first Soothing Sounds show on the station and so I decided to put together something along that vein for my mix. It was so nice to delve back into curating some music and I think it turned out really nicely. Peckham Levels
Finally thank you everyone who made it to Peckham Levels for the album (pre)launch party! It was a really beautiful evening. I think a lot of feelings I’ve unknowingly been keeping pent up inside were released once we started to play and it all came out once we started playing. I appreciate everyone who came along and also my amazing band: Ben Manning, Laura Misch, Marysia Osu, Alexa Harley, Julia Biel & Rohan Ayinde. Sadly Tawiah couldn’t make it in the end but she was there in spirit! I’m currently working toward making more band gigs happen so bear with me.
Thanks for sticking by me! I will be back again at the end of the week with more info about the album. Until then, I hope you have a lovely week.
